We have wanted to hike the Tahoe Rim Trail for several years. 2020 gave us the opportunity when the State of California closed all of the National Forests for 2 weeks to allow the more than 4 million acres already on fire to burn down a bit. When they opened the forests back up, we didn’t have enough time to finish the PCT and still get back to vote in the Presidential Election, so we opted for the TRT instead. What a fantastic trail!
