2017 Tour du Mont Blanc
In spite of the complaining, this is a trail that we will go hike again (with Axel and Heike whom we met on the GR10 and visited them in Nuremburg while sightseeing). Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in Europe and is shared by three countries. We went at the ideal time of year, after the French have called it quits for hiking yet the refuges are still open. I would hate to hike this trail when the crowds are out in high season. When we go back, we will accept and plan to stay in refuges every night so we will carry much less gear and food.
